Pumpkin Patch

Madison's first Pumkin Patch!

She is smaller than the pumpkin! We had so much fun with her but it was a rather warm day and very bright so we didn't keep her in the sun very long. This pumpkin patch was located in Irvine and was huge! It had a petting zoo, food and games...it will be fun next year when she can walk around.

These photos are so adorable! She is sporting pumpkin socks from Grandma Worley!

Baby's first Halloween! She wouldn't fit into a costume so a onsie will have to do for now!

Daddy its so bright out here!!!

Roses are Red

Daddy's 1st Rose for his daughter

Daddy presented Madison with the rose while she was sleeping on a pink blanket on the couch. She is just a little bigger than the rose but not much. Sean has always been so great at giving me flowers throughout our dating relationship and now marriage. I know he will enjoy giving his daughter flowers too just because. Girls love flowers no matter what we say, it may not ever be the actual flowers that we like, but the thought that someone has picked out something beautiful for US is the special part!

Madison's first Bath

Madison's 1st Bath!

She loved it! We were told by various people, I won't mention names that Madison would cry when we gave her, her first bath but the moment we put her in the water she enjoyed it. We were so careful to get the water temperature just right and the apartment was nice and warm so she wouldn't get a chill. How tiny she is in her little bath tub. This tub was a great purchase, it has a little sling for her to go in until she is big enough to sit up the other way. Daddy did most of the washing which was so sweet. This wasn't as much a 2 person job as much as the fact that we A- we both wanted to be part of the 1st moment of experience water outside the womb and B- we didn't want her to be too slippery when we pulled her out and being so fragile, a week old.
She is just loving life, getting washed by Daddy and licking one of his fingers. She is so tiny compared to his large hand!
I think these are the best moments for parents. Your child is safe and happy in your presence, getting life experiences for the first time. I think at the same time its a little sad because once the first bath is over, there will never be another FIRST bath again, just other firsts but never the same firsts.

Madison will probably look back at these bath photos when she is a teenager and get all embarrassed that she didn't have any clothes on but when she has children of her own she will do the same thing and snap away at the precious site of wet, baby skin!
