Its Summer!! Time for the pool :) Madison loves the pool. We go to The Swim Club by our house and the pool is heated to 90 degrees and its huge! Here is Madison in her 1st swim suit and her first summer of fun in San Clemente.

Mommy's Hip Replacement

Yes, that's right, its possible that a 33 yr old can indeed have and need a hip replacement. I always knew this day would come and by God's grace and timing I took the plunge! Sean, Madison and I had a consultation at Newport Orthopedic Center in Newport Beach the middle of May and literally 3 weeks later my surgery was scheduled and performed by Dr. Cailluette. I had tremendous peace about choosing this surgeon to perform the surgery. The consultation went well and I knew I would be good hands and Dr. Cailluette is highly experienced and skilled at what he does best specializing in hip and knee issues. Praise God for insurance covering the surgery 100% and for the tremendous help from family for weeks after the surgery. Having a hip replacement and an 8 month old baby is quite a challenge but I can look back now (2 months later) and be glad I did it! The day of the surgery I was actually pretty calm and trusting that God is in control and He has His best for me. I would post photos of the surgery but you really would not want all the details of what actually takes place, its not a pleasant thought and I am glad its now behind me. I have a new body and its not even my Glorified body yet!
Here is the link to the surgeon that performed my surgery in case any of you want or need a good referral.

Here is my new hip! Isn't medical technology so awesome?

Grandma Kalub also came for 3 weeks to help care for Madison. We all had so much fun hanging out and I was a little more recovered once Mom K. got here so we did get to go to a few places which was so nice to get out of the house!

Mom and Madison reading some books before bed! You can't see me in the photo but this is probably about 1 week after my hip replacement surgery. My mom came out for 2 weeks to take care of Madison...the full mom duties and everything! I must say that the surgery wasn't the most fun but I can say now that I am glad that I did it and feel great! My surgery was about an hour and I went home 23 hours later from the surgery center. Madison and Mom did very well without me and had a blast getting to spend some good quality time together. I couldn't have taken care of Madison after surgery at all but Sean and my mom did a great job holding down the fort and caring for all of us.
