The Kalub girls head to Nor Cal!!

Madison and I flew to Sacramento on October 7th to visit both my family and Sean's family so it was full of fun and lot's of events along the way!

One of my favorite places to visit- Apple Hill in Placerville!

This particular photo was taken on the trail that Sean proposed to me on November 28th 2008! I was sad that Sean wasn't here with us to remember the special day. This was Madison's first trip to Apple Hill and hopefully we can make it a tradition with her every year as well.
The Apple Pie here is really one of a kind. The pie is packed with Apple's and then drizzled with yummy cinnamon sauce!

I love the view here! This photo is at the top of the hill that leads to the trail where Sean proposed.

Here we are enjoying our Apple Pie!

Walnut Creek Wedding- Megan and Matthew- Sean's Cousins!

Here comes the bride! Megan looked so beautiful on her wedding day! She was married in a Catholic church in Walnut Creek. This picture was taken from the 4th row from the front before miss Madison started to get vocal :)

Here we are at the reception. It was at a delicious Italian restaurant outdoors in a patio with lots of beautiful elements. We had delicious appetizers like shrimp, crustini's, pizza bread, fruit and much more that I can't remember.

Madison has such a cute face in this picture. You can also see the Lei's that Aunt Carol brought for all of us from Hawaii!! They were beautiful.
Here is the bridal party at the head table. Cousin Tina and Lynn were bridesmaids.

I think Madison is saying, "we want food!" She loved to bang on the table for some reason. The family had fun with her. Cousin Leo had fun making faces with her and making her laugh. Mom had a nice first dance with Madison and the Aunts had a blast grooving to the tunes well into the evening.

Megan and Matthew- The Happy Couple!

Madison and Papa having fun looking at the horses across the street from the Hutchison's

We celebrated Madison and my birthday at the Hutchison's new house! Madison had so much fun with the cousins and eating cake!

Christy had a pink princess dress for Madison to wear for her party!

I made Madison another cupcake cake with a princess crown on top and Christy made me a chocolate present cake with fondant icing, it was yummy! We had home made enchiladas for dinner with a really great guacamole cream sauce and cilantro rice. The meal was so good we barely had room for cake but of course there is always room for dessert!

and...Madison practices her walking at Taylor's jog-a-thon! By the end our of our trip she was taking 4-5 steps at time all by herself!

Stacy's Birthday Week -part 1!!!!!

On Saturday, October 1st, my wonderful husband decided to surprise me with a Stacy Day! It started off with a morning of fishing in Mission Bay San Diego, then I was treated to a 1hr massage in the afternoon and then in the  evening we went to see Rascal Flatts!!!!!
We woke up at 7am and had yummy bagels from Breugger's bagel shop here in P.B. Then Sean and Brent left to launch the boat. We borrowed my brother's little motor boat to cruise around the bay in. Here we are just getting ready to leave the dock! Our first stop was at a bait shop for coffee and bait.

We used bright orange rubber little fish for our bait! I have no idea what they are actually called, I'm sure there is an official name for it but it was nice not have to bait the hooks with worms and get our hands all nasty!

One of Sean's spiritual gifts is fishing. He managed to catch 2 spotted Bass! You can really attribute it to his casting ability and "finesse" of the line. This picture shows the spot where the Bass were hiding out. Because the fish were on the small side we let them go. There may have still been 1 casualty but hopefully little flounder  survived. Here is a little video clip of me driving the boat! It was so fun!!!

Here are some photo's of the Rascal Flatts Concert! They put on a great concert! It was outdoors and a very large venue.

Here we are enjoying our VIP box seats! We had such a good view and free coke and water!!!

We thought this was a super cool backdrop to the song Mayberry!

Here is a video clip to the song, "Broken Road" which was the song we danced to for our first dance in our wedding! It was fun to hear it live in concert and at the end the group gave credit to God. He said that we would not be anything without you God. It was also cool how they told the story of growing up in church together and that is how they got started...and my observant husband noticed the lead singer wearing his WWJD bracelet!

Enjoy our song!
