Kalub Christmas in Woodland, Granite Bay, Vallejo & Napa

Madison and I flew into Sacramento on December 14th to visit family a little early this year! I barely survived the flight with Madison who wanted to run down the isles but once we landed our trip was so fun and very enjoyable! Sean drove up on December 18th for the entire week so it was fun to spend time with Daddy before Madison and I went on another adventure and drove with my parents to Seattle for 4 days!

This Christmas was really fun with Madison walking around and opening her own presents. She loved the paper more than gifts at times. We had lot's of family and friends to see on our trip and the days seemed busy with something fun every day. We are so thankful to the Lord that we were able to spend Christmas with our families and we always look forward to visiting our old stomping grounds in Nor Cal.

Grandma Santa all decked out for Christmas! Ready for our Christmas Eve get together with Sean's side of the family. We had 2 Aunts and several cousins to visit and the food was so delicious. We had a feast at cousin Tina's house at noon.

The family had fun singing a few Christmas songs and Marissa and Taylor read from Luke 2, hopefully we will continue our annual family concert every year at Christmas! The guys did a great job performing for us. 

 We enjoyed a yummy Prime Rib dinner with all the yummy fixings! Thanks to the Hutchisons!

More Disneyland with Cousins!

More Disneyland! My sister, brother in law and nieces drove down from Granite Bay (Sacramento area) to go to Disneyland for a few days so Brent, Madison and I drove up from San Diego to join them yesterday! We had a good time and it was less crowded then on Thanksgiving Day which was great for us and more rides. We took Madison on Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, Small World and the Merry go round and I got to enjoy Indiana Jones and California Screaming at California Disney. We missed Sean though, he had to work :( We did buy him some beignets at the Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney, they are so yummy, the best donut pastry ever!! yum!

Kalub Christmas Preparation 2010

This year we have a cute little fake tree. This tree is perfect for little curious eyes and hands. We miss the pine scent filling our home but love the fact that Madison won't be able to eat the pine needles this year :)

Time to decorate Christmas cookies! We ate so many of the cookies while decorating them that now I need to get more dough :) If you look close you can see New York represented...what would Christmas be without a NY cookie!

 Sean and I have this big debate every year regarding the best way to string the lights on the tree.

1) Do you plug the lights in before you string them or 2)do you leave them off, string them, hang the ornaments and then plug the lights in for a grand finale?

I won't tell you which one of us has what preference, and really, in the end it doesn't matter too much, I think Madison will be the tie breaker though when she gets older...I have plenty of time to influence her!

We are looking forward to Christmas this year! Last year Madison was so tiny and slept through most of the day but this year she will be into all her gifts as well as everyone else's gifts. We will be up in Northern California spending time in Woodland, Granite Bay, Vallejo and San Fransisco!
