Fall Fest and our little Bee

Madison was dressed as a bumble bee this year and very cute one indeed. This year there were no tears like last year when she was just 1 and did not like her tinker bell costume. She loved her wings!

Here she is driving a car at Fall Fest, our church carnival :)

Surprise Napa Trip

Happy Birthday...we are going to Napa! Sean surprised me with a trip to Napa that was so relaxing and beautiful. He told me about the trip the day before our flight by giving me clues to find around the house. I was not expecting a trip at all this year since we just moved but it was the perfect thing for us, taking time away during the craziness! We stayed at an amazing hotel in Yountville called the Bardessono which was in a very quaint area with some amazing restaurants. It was great to get some time away with the 2 of us while Madison was with the Grandparents.

This photo was taken at Round Pound. This was one of my favorites as it overlooked the the winery with huge fire pits, and romantic patio!

We had breakfast at Boon Fly cafe, so yummy..the best donuts!

Rubicon Winery

Here we are at V Sattui, very popular winery, amazing deli and what was awesome was they allow you to picnic at the winery!

We also enjoyed a great bike ride, went shopping in San Fransisco, watched a movie, (something we hadn't done in forever), I had 2 massages from the spa onsite at the hotel...so relaxing!

As you can tell Madison enjoyed her visit with Grandma and Papa as she is squirming to get out their arms so she can chase the ducks! She had so much fun with them while Sean and I were in Napa and was very entertaining for them. Mom taught her to say "No thank you" instead of "No".

Madison turned 2!

While all the moving and renovation madness was happening our cutie pie turned 2! It was great that my mom, dad, brother and Sean's mom were able to be here for a little pizza party to celebrate! I had planned on getting really creative this year with having a whale/ocean theme since she is obsessed with Shamu, dolphins and anything that swims, but this year plans changed and I ran out of time with our move, so I decided on getting simple little cake toppers/banner, balloons and easy decorations from etsy.com! With all her loving family here with her I think we pulled off a fun little birthday treat for her. She knew it was her special day, loving all the attention :)
I think part of what made the day fun was just watching her come down the stairs after her nap to see the huge Mickey mouse and #2 balloon along with her Mickey mouse pinata outside! Yes, that is right pinata for a 2 year old :) Grandma Kalub was so creative to make baggies of tiny marshmallows and graham crackers special for the birthday girl that we stuffed into the pinata, toddlers snacks ready to eat!

Here is the birthday Pinata! Madison likes to watch Dora the Explorer and for Dora's party she had a pinata so I thought it would be fun to get one for Madison. The only issue is she didn't like hitting Mickey with a stick, which I guess being 2 and liking Mickey, hitting Mickey is a little confusing..so the pinata idea did backfire a little, hopefully she isn't scarred for life and doesn't take up hitting kids at nursery.

Cupcakes from a bakery in San Clemente called Sugar Blossoms, these are yummy gourmet cupcakes that we gobbled up quickly!

Grandma Kalub with Madison on her real birthday, the 20th of September and another cupcake!

Its been so fun to see Madison change and grow these past 2 years and I am blessed to be able to be with her all day, every day! We pray she will grow up to love the Lord and of course obey her parents! Her favorite thing to say now is "ready, set, go!"
