This Thanksgiving was a little more unusual for us. We usually are home in Nor Cal for Thanksgiving but unfortunately this year it didn't work out. So we started out the month of November planning to cook dinner at our home and host a family from church that needed a place to go for Thanksgiving day. I was looking forward to watching the parade, football and eating a huge meal for .....days! but that's not what happened. Once we found out that the ministry at our church did not have a hosting need after all, my fun, wise husband proclaimed....."Let's go to Disneyland for Thanksgiving!" .... great idea honey!!! So on Thursday we packed up the car at 7:30am and headed to Anaheim. Sean got us discount tickets(another story). We enjoyed taking Madison to Disneyland for the first time and cooking our Turkey on Friday instead of Thursday so we had double fun this week :) The only thing missing (other than our family) was remembering to TEVO the parade and football games that day so we could play them back on Friday for our Kalub Thanksgiving Day....but that's okay we still had a great day at home cooking and sharing our dinner with brother Brent (roommate).
smashed between Mickey, Elmo and Daddy....lucky girl :)
The Merry go round was her first ride ever! So cute, she was so curious!
Disney California Water Fall
Yes, she is on a leash.
Toontown! Mickey's House play area!
Ferris Wheel at California Adventure
Small World was beautiful..all day I was saying small wonder...show ruined me!
We are so Thankful to God for His blessing in our lives, His ongoing Faithfulness and Grace given to our family. We are blessed with a wonderful family who we wish could have been with us, Disneyland still takes a backseat to family even though we enjoyed our time with Mickey. Lord willing we will be enjoying our usual Nor Cal visit next year or family will be down here in Southern California with us; but either way we missed them this year.
I never enjoyed Disneyland as much as this trip with my wonderful husband and beautiful baby girl. Its so fun seeing the park through her little eyes! I wanted to buy her every princess outfit and hat displayed in the shops....yes, I was captured by the Disney consumerism! Thankfully we got out of there with just an ornament to remember the trip :)
