Grammy & Papa's San Diego Fun!

Mom and Dad flew down to visit us here in San Diego these past few days. We had a good time exploring parts of San Diego that I hadn't had a chance to visit.

Day at the Beach with Grandparents and Uncle Brent, little chilly but still fun! We had  a great breakfast at a place called Kono's in Pacific Beach. They serve a huge breakfast on a paper plate for $5! So good and cheap, the best part is we had a great outdoor table overlooking the beach.

Afternoon in Coronado, we had dinner at a bbq place called Lil Piggy's, great brisket!

Evening at Balboa Park

and...an afternoon at the Point Loma lighthouse after breakfast at Honeybear Cottage which was highly recommended by my good friend Michelle. Yummy breakfast sandwiches!
The views at the lighthouse were beautiful and occasionally we were able to see a few F16 fighter planes overhead as well as part of Mexico!
With all the cliffs and other non kid friendly places, Madison was a little more stroller bound but she still enjoyed the time and the 20 minute video on whale migration they showed at the museum here.

Silly times with the family...Madison was so excited to have Grammy and Papa visit and loved the extra attention the last few days.

and of course...the park at Mission Bay, this is the closest park to our house so we frequent it often!

The best part of the visit was that Madison slept through the night 4 times during my parents stay which is record breaking. We wore Madison out everyday :)

Patiently Waiting

Days go by so fast! I realized I hadn't had a chance to update anyone over the phone with our home hunting situation, so I just wanted to share that we are still waiting. I'm not a big fan of waiting, I'm a planner so I plan ahead what is the most logically, efficient way of doing things in the timing I think is best but God works so much better than I could ever imagine which is why I can still rest in His sovereignty and plan and have hope for the future no matter what my earthly circumstances. Its for my good but ultimately, HIS Glory.
We put another offer in yesterday on a house in San Clemente, its a small, older home and in need of some TLC, it has original hard wood floors which is very interesting and kind of charming even though they need some refinishing eventually. The back yard is big and great for having our friends and family over! We like the house, just liked we liked the other 2 homes we offered on as well so we are trying not to get our hopes up, lot's of competition out there now with the market and also some good deals. We are pushing forward with looking at more homes until we get an excepted offer or until God reveals another plan for us. Its kind of fun though dreaming and imagining our furniture in each home we look at...paint color, tile, floor...very fun! Sean and I are learning a lot through this process, both about our own hearts but also the ups and downs of the real estate world.
Anyway, don't be surprised if all the sudden we have new plans that are totally different than what I mentioned above, just preparing everyone! We eventually may need to change course if offers keep going the way they do but we will see :) I guess the average number of offers made before 1 is accepted is 7 so we have 4 more to go technically speaking.
Madison is sleeping better which is great since we are still sharing a room with her so that is a BIG praise :)

This is a photo of the oven that was in one of the homes we offered on, the original oven :) Madison is looking at me as if to say, " Mom, do you think this oven actually works?"

She is my little house hunting trooper! I think for her each house it like a new play area for her to explore!
