New York-post 1 of 2

Our family and my parents traveled to New York 2 weeks ago for 6 days! It was such a fun trip with hundreds of photos, of course there are too many to post so here are a few highlights and then another follow up post with the second part of our trip!

We stayed the first 3 nights near Central Park which was so beautiful, enjoyed a long 2 hour bike ride in the park! It was humid and we were feeling it big time especially on the bike ride!

Passing by the park, on a great walk and found a great farmers market too!

Central Park lake-stopped for photos during our bike ride :)

New York Park in Central Park- Madison and Grandma

She was a trooper! I'm thankful she was content to wear the helmet!

Here we are on Wall Street-World Trade Center- Love the Flag along with my cutie pies!

Madison enjoying her freedom from the stroller on Wall Street!

and of course.... Statue of Liberty

Brooklyn Bridge

Thinking she may not remember this trip but it will be fun to look back at these cute toddler photos!

The very big apple sky line :)

This is how Madison got her name! We wanted a "New York" name....silly I know!

Empire State Building-We went to the observation deck-beautiful view!

The first Sunday we were there we attended a church called Redeemer near Central Park then headed to Isabella's restaurant for brunch. The food here is amazing, we have made it a New York tradition to do after the Sunday service!

Since we are not seeing my parents for Madison's 3rd birthday we bought cupcakes from a bakery called Magnolia's, very popular and very yummy, to celebrate early-the photos don't do justice.

Madison opened her new Rapunzel doll present from Grandma and Papa

Grandparents loving on Madison

I'll admit I was nervous taking Madison to New York with all the craziness but she did great, no crying on either airplane trip and we managed the subways fairly well by taking a light weight stroller I bought for the trip to go up and down the stairs with! The taxi drivers were very accommodating as well and drove somewhat safe with Madison in the car!
This turned out to be a fun adventure, not relaxing at all but lot's of fun and memories!
It was my parents first time to New York so they had a wonderful time too!
